Walnut Onion Bread

All breads contain the same ingredients like flour, yeast, milk or water and oil. The use of walnuts in this bread increases its nutritional value and is a good option for breakfast

Ingredients:

350 g. all-purpose flour(sifted)

1 tbsp. yeast

1 cup warm water

1 tsp. sugar

turmeric powder      1tsp.

salt and pepper

6 tbsp. oil

1 tsp. butter

2 medium onions (chopped)

 walnut (chopped)

1 tbsp. cumin

Instructions:

  • Dissolve sugar and yeast in cup warm water until foamy.

  • Combine flour, yeast mixture, turmeric, salt, pepper, 3 tbsp oil and remaining warm water in a large bowl. Knead by hand until smooth and satiny. Sprinkle oil in the bowl and Shape dough into a ball. Cover and let rest for 1 hour in a warm place until doubled.

  • Fry onions until golden. Add walnut and cumin. Set aside…

  • After 1 hour, add onion mixture with dough and knead well.

  • Grease mold with butter and place dough in it. Cover loosely with a towel for 30 minutes. Let rise until swollen.

  • Preheat oven on 350 ‘F/180’C.

  • Bake the bread in the center of the oven for 40 to 50 minutes until done and golden.

  • Put the bread on a rack to cool, and let cool for at least 20 minutes before cutting.
